Salem Witch Trials / The Crucible: MLA Citation Help

Introduction

Citing your information is often confusing. This section is designed to provide you with resources that should make the MLA process easier.  Remember:

1.  MLA stands for the Modern Language Association and it is just one citation format out of many.

2.  You must cite both Direct Quotations and paraphrases.

3.  You must provide an in-text citation within the text of the paper when the information is used.

4.  You must compose a Works Cited page, with full citations, for all the works you used within the paper.

There are many different types of sources and different situations with citing. You don't have to memorize each format; you just need to refer to the style guides and apply that information to your paper. Make sure to ask questions if you are uncertain...  Have fun!  This is an important research learning experience!
